There’s something extra special about photographing a newborn in their first home—it adds such a personal, meaningful layer to the story. For this Home Studio newborn session, I had the joy of capturing the Kelley family as they welcomed their first baby girl into the world. Surrounded by love (and two very excited Huskies!), this session was full of sweet details and heartfelt moments.

Home Studio sessions are a client favorite, and it’s easy to see why. I bring all the essentials of my newborn studio—backdrops, wraps, lighting, and posing tools—right to your doorstep. We’re able to create classic, wrapped newborn portraits just like you’d get in a studio, but with the added bonus of lifestyle photos in your home. It’s the best of both worlds—and especially helpful for brand new parents who want to stay cozy at home during those first few weeks.

The Kelleys personalized their session beautifully. We incorporated a soft family blanket, a stuffed elephant from the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!), and spent time capturing the rose pink, bow-adorned nursery they lovingly prepared for their daughter. It’s always so meaningful to include little details like this—they tell the story of where your baby came home to, and the love waiting for her.

And of course, we had to include the family’s two gorgeous Huskies! They were gentle and curious—already protective of their tiny new pack member.
