A Spring Maternity Session in Nature | Marietta, GA Newborn + Family Photographer

This spring maternity session holds a special place in my heart—not only because of the stunning location and soft golden light, but because the mom-to-be is actually my daughter’s third grade teacher! It was such a privilege to photograph this beautiful couple as they prepare to welcome their first baby.

We met at a park that I’ve only photographed in once before, but it’s quickly becoming one of my favorites. The location offered everything I love in a natural setting: open grass fields for wide, sweeping shots; a gorgeous, sprawling tree that added so much character; and some tucked-away wooded spots that gave us that cozy, quiet backdrop perfect for maternity portraits.

The session felt peaceful and joyful from start to finish. Mom wore a flowing dress that moved beautifully in the light breeze, and the love between her and her husband was so evident in every frame. These two were excited, connected, and so ready for this next chapter.

I always say maternity sessions are a time to slow down and soak it all in—and that’s exactly what we did. Whether you’re expecting your first baby or your fifth, these sessions are a chance to pause and celebrate this incredible transition.
